Poultry Housing

A. Pullet Rearing House
Aviary pullet rearing system designed to rear laying hens from day-old chicks to point of lay pullets at 16 weeks of age. The system will train birds to access feeding, drinking, perching and nesting within the aviary system. This creates a stress free transfer to the production house for egg production.
B. Free-range Valli egg production house
This is a free-range Valli multi-tier egg production house, constructed in 2020. It is in one of four houses under one roof. The site is licensed with the EPA, as it has more than 40,000 birds. The system has three tiers, with nipple drinkers, track & chain feeders, nest boxes and perching all within the system. Each house stocks 15,000 birds with access to 15 hectares (total 168 acres) of range through the side pop-holes. Manure belts on the system run to a manure store.
